The report examines the artistic speech of modern fiction writer Mikhail Tarkovsky. Analysis of the most important levels of artistic speech (sound organization, vocabulary, syntax, graphics) shows that the subjectivization of author’s consciousness is manifested in bringing together the language (consciousness), the narrator and protagonist (portrayed characters). As a result of the identified processes, the speech (word, language features in general) becomes the most important subject of artistic representation in the stories and novels by Tarkovsky
