Народные песни в «Записках охотника» и повести «Затишье» И.С. Тургенева

The article is concerned with the definition of the role of the music in I.S. Turgenev's collection «Zapiski Ohotnika». Analyzing folk songs, which were included in the narration, the author reveals ideological, characterological and cultural and historical functions of music within the writer's texts. Also a brief reference about I.S. Turgenev's acquaintances in the musical sphere during his work on «Zapiski Ohotnika» is presented in the article
