Abstract:

In the article the author presents his individual impressions about the personality and scientific results of the academician A. A. Zaliznyak. The contrbition lists some of the major discoveries of this outstanding linguist in the field of Slavistics, Russian studies and linguistics, without which the picture of modern science would be incomplete and flawed. The personal qualities of the scientist associated with his activities in the popularization of science are highlighted.
