Идеальный женский образ в житии Евфросинии Полоцкой

In the article an author studies an Old Russian hagiographic record dedicated to the life of Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Special attention is paid to revealing the princess’s image which is a sample of nun’s sainthood. The ideal image is made mostly due to a composition and poetic means such as a structural canon, peculiarities of artistic space and time, toposes, parallelism, abstraction, simile, epithets, metaphors, quotations from the Holy Scripture.
